KEPEMIMPINAN AKADEMIK YANG EFEKTIF DI PERGURUAN TINGGI DAN PENGEMBANGAN PROFESIONAL DOSEN

Kepemimpinan di perguruan tinggi memiliki peran yang sangat penting untuk mendukung pengembangan profesional dosen, yang kemudian memengaruhi kualitas pendidikan dan penelitian. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi berbagai gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan di perguruan tinggi dan bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap pengembangan kompetensi dosen, terutama dalam hal pengajaran dan penelitian. Melalui pendekatan kepemimpinan transformasional dan dukungan yang proaktif, pemimpin akademik dapat menciptakan suasana yang mendukung pertumbuhan profesional dosen dengan menyediakan akses pada pelatihan, kolaborasi, dan kesempatan untuk pengembangan diri. Selain itu, artikel ini juga membahas tantangan yang muncul ketika kepemimpinan yang kurang efektif dapat memengaruhi kemajuan dosen. Berdasarkan analisis ini, disarankan agar perguruan tinggi terus mengembangkan kepemimpinan yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan dosen serta menciptakan kebijakan yang mendukung keseimbangan antara pengajaran, penelitian, dan pengabdian masyarakat. Dengan demikian, kepemimpinan yang baik dapat memperkuat kualitas pendidikan tinggi dan memastikan dosen terus berkembang untuk menghadapi tantangan globalisasi pendidikan.
